Elise came and visited!

Here's my fun update from my trips and people visiting in August. So grateful for the blessings God has given me last month. Truly I believe that he brought some people in my life to make me feel like me again. My friends were encouraging and I now feel so refreshed to get back and start the real world. Here's what I did!

August 17-21st my friend Elise came into town! She's a great friend from our working at Interlochen fine arts summer camp. i think it's super fun how we met during the summer of 2003 and we are still really close. Elise came out last summer right when we arrived to eugene so i didn't really know where anything was. this year was so different! i jammed packed in a lot of fun stuff to do while she was out here. needless to say we were exhausted every evening and i sure slept well! We went to some of my favorite restaurants around town, which was a lot of fun. We also went to visit some local wineries, and i came back with way too many bottles of wine! ;) One day we headed to the coast, started at florence and made our way up the coast to newport. we hiked, played in the very frigid pacific ocean, climbed on lots of huge rocks, and then ended the day sitting outside eating dinner looked out into a bay with seals on the dock. it was so much fun! We also visited portland the first day she came into town and had a lot of fun there. we went to the portland rose garden, voodoo donuts, and went a little east of town to multnomah waterfall, where we walked up to the top and got to see the waterfall from up there. amazing! the last day she was in town we just walked downtown and chilled out. shoot, we needed it! :) then the next day we both traveled to portland together and made it to the airport. that's when i left for portland to see B and Brian!
